Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809. He didn’t have a middle name so his whole name was just Abraham Lincoln. He was a very loving man in fact the most loving of all presidents. He was the sixteenth president in the United States of America. Also he had won the first two years terms to the Illinois state assembly. One day he went to go see a play called “Our American Cousins” and he was minding his own business talking to his family when all of a sudden everyone heard a big bang, Lincoln had been shot in the head. The person who shot his was named John Wilkes Booth. John had jumped from where Lincoln was shot onto the stage and yelled “sic simper tyraniss” in other wise that means “the south is avenged.” He took off and immediately got on his horse and ran away they were unable to find his but they still had to go take care of Lincoln. Lincoln was immediately taken to his death bed where he had laid for over eight hours. The doctor was unable to stop the bleeding. Then after a couple of hours of lying in the death bed the doctor had told Lincoln that he would die in eight hours it was a very sad moment. After Lincoln died they went to search for John Wilkes Booth and Lincoln’s four conspirators. When John finally had been found he was asked to surrender, but he wouldn’t surrender so he was shot and killed. All of his conspirators were finally hunted down and were hanged till death. Lincoln’s conspirators were Mary Surrat, Lewis Pain, David Herold, and George Atzerold. And this is why Lincoln’s assignation is important.
