Wrangler Reading Olympics

March 4- May 2, 2008

You will participate in 5 events for the Reading Olympics. There is one event for each Olympic Ring:

Please write the title and author of each book, magazine, encyclopedia or newspaper article you read.  An adult must sign each event when you are done. One chapter of a chapter book counts as one book read. If you want an event guide booklet instead of a log, please Ms. Briggs in the SHP Library. You cannot read the same book for more than one event.

Non Fiction Event

Read and write down the title and author of 5 books, 5 articles or 5 chapters of a single book that that is non fiction (facts, fairy/folktales, poetry and jokes/riddles).

Caldecott/Newberry Medal Event

Read and write down the title and author of 5 books or 5 chapters of a single book that won a Caldecott or Newberry Award.

Read and write down the title and author of 5 books, 5 articles or 5 chapters of a single book (fiction or non fiction) that takes place in the following Olympic Host Nations: China/ Hong Kong, England/Great Britain, Canada and/or Russia
