The Process
1)
Decide which European Modification you will research:
Canals of Venice,
the Polders of the Netherlands, Roman Roads, Roman
Aqueducts, the Millau Bridge, Germany’s Channel Bridge, or
the Channel Tunnel
2)
Click on the Resources tab on the webquest site. With your
brochure template in hand access
the websites
listed for the modification that you have chosen.
3)
You will need to take notes on the history of the
modification, get some fast facts about the
modification,
and copy and print a map of the country in which the
modification is located.

History of the Modification

Include at least 5 sentences sharing significant
historical facts and events that occurred in your
modifications’ creation.

Fast Facts
– (20 Points total)—Panel 1

People want to know important information quickly!
Provide a list of at least 4 of these
important facts.

A Map
of the Modification or Region

(10 Points total)—Panel 5

From
the resource provided copy a map of the country in which
the modification is located. Past the map into a Word
Document. Locate and designate where the capital city
and the modification are on the map. Your customers need
to know what to expect when they travel to this place!
4)
As you read about the modification think about how building
this modification has benefited or
had a positive
effect on the people who use it and or live around it. Also,
think about the cost
or how it has
negatively affected people using it, living around it, or
helping to build the
modification.

and Benefits
– (10 Points total)—Panel 6

Inform your customer about the benefits (positive) and
costs (negative) of building this modification. You need
to provide at least 3 costs and 3 benefits.
5) An
Exciting Cover Page
–
(10 Points total)—Panel 3
This will
capture the customer’s eye and make him/her want to open
your brochure to find
out
more. It should include the name of the modification, a
slogan, and an eye-catching
visual
such as a picture or drawing representing the modification.
Be sure to include your
proper
Polk heading on this panel!!
6) Travel Agency Logo –
(5 Points total)—Panel 2
All companies
have a logo or symbol that represents their company. Design
a logo or symbol that represents the travel agency you work
for. Use your creativity!
7) Overall Presentation
– (15 points)
This needs to
look as professional as possible. No torn corners,
unnecessary wrinkles, or sloppy handwriting. Take pride in
your work!!
