Library Research--The Big Six
Research completed in the library with the cooperation of the classroom teacher follows the Big Six Problem Solving Model selected by the Carrollton-Farmers Branch I.S.D. for students in K-12 developed by Michael Eisenberg and Robert Berkowitz. This model used in Kindergarten through fifth grade follows six steps guiding students through the research process to a completed product along with a self-evaluation of their final product. Below you will find the six steps of the Big Six Problem Solving Model.

Step 2 How can I get my information?
Step 3 Where can I find the information?
Step 4 How can I use the information?
Step 5 What can I make to show what I have learned?
Step 6 How will I know if I did my job well?
