This set of student procedures complements Big 6, a problem solving model for teaching Information Literacy skills that is embedded in the C-FB ISD curriculum framework. The campus resource for Big 6 is the school library/media specialist.

  1. What is my problem or question?
  2. What are my possible resources?
  3. Once identified, where in each source will I find the answers to my questions?
  4. What information can I find?
  5. How can I put this information together in my own words?
  6. What is the quality of the product I produced and the process I went through?
Search engines can retrieve webpages out of context.
Always return to the homepage to determine the source of information.
