Approaches to Learning - Overview Table

P2P lists 3 key questions to be addressed by the AOI of Approaches to Learning. We apply one key question to each grade level as a “theme” for examining the various ATL skills in that grade. Also, each ATL skill area has 3 key questions--similar across all 7 skills--for using the the skills with units of work. We apply one skill question to each grade level as a “learning goal” for developing ATL lessons. The 6g theme “How do I learn best?” has the goal of examining all ATL “tools” available at BBMS; the 7g theme “How do I know?” has the goal of “analyzing” how to use tools more successfully; the 8g theme “How do I communicate my understanding?” has the goal of each student evaluating their strengths & weaknesses in each skill for improvement in order to be ready for 9g/10g & the Personal Project.
