INTERLIBRARY LOANS

Interlibrary loans are much simpler with this software level.

I have exercised the new option to turn off "Intransits".

 

What that means is that you now can use more standard checkout and check-in procedures.

 

To check out a book to another school follow these steps.

 

Click the Checkout Wizard.

Type in the USER ID of the school to which you are sending the book.   Note: A list of the ILL USER account ID’s is below  these instructions.

The borrowing Library no longer has to check-in the book as it arrives.

The borrowing Library checks the book out to the teacher who wanted it. ( now 2 charges, 1 ILL, 1 Teacher)

The borrowing Library checks the book in when the teacher returns it, ( now 1 charge, ILL) then sends it back to the Lending Library.

When you receive the book back in your own Library  Check it  IN. This removes the ILL charge and will route it to SHELVES or wherever.

That’s it.   Note:  There is no Intransit status.

 

Since INTRANSIT is turned off, I heartily recommend that you continue to use the phone and e-mail to keep track of ILL needs and movements.
