STANDARDIZED DRESS IN C-FB ISD


    C-FB ISD has schools whose students wear standardized dress. Standardized dress is
mandatory at Vivian Field Middle School and at the nine campuses involved in the
district’s standardized dress pilot study for 2006-07. Those campuses are Barbara
Bush Middle School, DeWitt Perry Middle School, Carrollton Elementary School,
Central Elementary School, Bernice Chatman Freeman Elementary School, R. E. Good
Elementary School, Tom Landry Elementary School, Las Colinas Elementary School,
and Riverchase Elementary School.
    Families who may need financial assistance should call the principal's office of their
campus. Parents with additional questions about dress should contact their individual
schools.
    All clothing items and student grooming must meet the district’s dress and grooming
policy, which can be found in the 2005-06 student handbook or online at
www.cfbisd.edu.

Shirts may be long or short sleeve.  Short sleeve shirts must be a knit, polo style with collar.  Long sleeve shirts may be button-down or have the regular spread collar.  Turtlenecks and sweaters may also be worn in cooler weather and should be of the same color scheme.

Pants, shorts, skirts and skorts will be khaki or navy blue in color.  Shorts, skirts and skorts must be at fingertip length or longer when the arms are extended down the side of the leg.  The pockets of pants or shorts can extend no longer than the fingertips when they are extended down the side.

Closed toe shoes should be worn for safety and that are appropriate for running and other physical activities.

Families may find all of these items at reasonable prices at local retailers like Target, J.C. Penny and others.

Spirit Days

Students may wear Las Colinas Elementary Spirit wear on Fridays with khaki bottoms.  Spirit wear will be sold at school throughout the year by PTA.
