Kevin Lacefield is a native of Carrollton, TX. He attended Furneaux Elementary and Dan F. Long Middle School before graduating from R.L. Turner High School in 1994. Mr. Lacefield received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX in 1999. He then continued his education with graduate work at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where he earned his Masters degree in Music Education in 2001. Mr. Lacefield is presently studying  for the Doctor of Education degree in Educational Administration at the University of North Texas. Graduation is planned for the Fall of 2008.

Mr. Lacefield taught high school orchestra for two years in Penfield, New York as an assistant orchestra director before returning to Texas in 2001. He then taught orchestra as the head orchestra director at Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, TX. He is now honored to serve as an Assistant Principal at Barbara Bush Middle School in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD.
