Meet the Long Orchestra
Directors

We have 2 full time Orchestra Directors at Dan F. Long: Mrs. Kong, and Mr. Towndrow. Mrs. Kong and Mr. Towndrow teach all orchestra instruments.  Mrs. Kong's main instrument is violin and she specializes in teaching violins and violas.  Mr. Towndrow's main instrument is cello and he specializes in teaching cellos and basses.   Your child will have orchestra class everyday.  Additionally, we have a successful private lesson program taught by four of the most talented professional musicians in the metroplex.  Private lessons are optional, and require a nominal fee paid directly to the private instructor.
