Sometimes I have to let the books have a rest, so that I can finish them later, and sometimes I am not in the mood for that type of book.  If I start them, I usually finish them, but sometimes it takes me a while.

The story of a man's trials and redemption.  A classic from the 1800's and a very difficult read.  And Man is this a long book.  There is a reason it is titled "The Miserable" - these people do everything in their power to make themselves and others miserable.  The end was very good though.

This is the story of how Spencer began his career of being a crime fighter and where he learned his personal rules on how he responds to situations.  Spencer must save his middle school sweetheart from her abusive father.  This was supposed to be written as a young adult story, but was really written like a Spencer memoir. I feel that this one was not as good as the boxer and spy. It was good, but not incredible.

I read this during TAKS day on Tuesday.  A fantastic story of two young freshmen in high school who have to overcome prejudice and an evil school principal to discover who killed a classmate.  A really good book. Parker really knows how to tell a good story.

Zack Chasteen has been sent to jail because he was set up to take a fall by a drug lord.  when he gets out he finds that his girlfriend has been kidnapped, and now he has to find her before something bad happens.  A fun easy read.  I really liked it.

This is the story of two girls who's name are Nana (Seven in Japanese).   This book is a Girl's Manga, and is all bout relationships and love.  it is actually a really good story, and i am going to read the rest of the series. There is also two live action movies about these two girls in Japan.  It is a very popular story there.

It's about the Section 9 team going up against the "Good Morning Terrorist" virus which targets teenagers who have gone to illegal sights on the Net.  As I read it, it felt like I was watching the Anima on the television.  Great descriptions and a good mystery.

Written 18 years after the original author died, Spider Robinson has managed to write one of the best Robert Heinlein I have ever read!  The main character Joel manages to have a wonderful adventure in space while managing to keep his humanity intact and all of humanity thriving.  fantastic story!  one of the best I have read!!!

This is the 3rd book in the new Shadowrun Series.  It is set in the year 2063, and is about a young girl who is making a name for herself in the shadows of the Seattle underworld.  Exciting stuff, and I have a hard time putting it down.

Maurice is a talking cat, and his friends are talking rats.  this is the story of how they rescue a town and become citizens.  A really cute story with lots of action and mystery.

Science Fiction

The story of a girl who is hired as muscle in a futuristic Australian Ghetto. A little slow reading, as I found my self getting bogged down in the story several times.  It got better at the end and overall not a bad story.

Another Spencer novel.  Hawk is shot this time by a Russian gang, and Hawk must repay the help that his friend gave him when he was in the same position.

Science Fiction

What would happen if all the electricity was turned off, and guns did not work any more?  no lights, no gasoline, no jobs, no-nothing!  hunt your food, and protect your family.  This book is what might happen to some people if that were to really happen.  Well thought out, believable characters, and an appreciation for forgotten skills.

Another great Discworld book.  This one is about Rinsewind the not so talented Wizard.

The second Coyote book.  As good as the first, if not better.

Mystery

My favorite book! I have read it 3 times and I have it on tape so that I can listen to it on long trips as well.

Spencer gets shot by a hit man, and Hawk must help him back to health.  Exciting and emotional - lots of excitement!
