Prior to joining the Ranchview teaching staff I was a Government/Economics teacher and coach the previous four years at Mansfield Timberview High School.  In my 23 years of service in the public school system, I have been a Safety Director, Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, Assistant Principal and Teacher/Coach.  I have experience in teaching Government, Economics, U.S. History, World History, World Geography, Psychology, Sociology and Physical Education.  I believe that all students can learn and contribute to the learning environment.

I have a Masters of Science Degree in School Administration from Texas A&M University – Kingsville.  I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Teaching from Sam Houston State University with a double major in History and Physical Education.  My areas of certification from the Texas Education Agency include the following:  Mid-Management Administration, Composite Social Studies (Secondary), History (Secondary), Physical Education (Secondary).  I have received certification and training in the following areas:

My vision and role is to help make the Ranchview High School one of outstanding achievement and high expectations.  I want to encourage and promote an environment of character and concern within a team concept.  My academic vision is to encourage and promote the successful traditions established in the past few years.

My interests include history, sports and carpentry.  I enjoy a good game of billiards or washers.  I have been married 28 years to my lovely wife – Shirley, and we have two children (Taylor – 16, Jaclyn – 21).
