Mission

The mission of Library Technical Services (LTS) is to catalog and process library materials which are shelf ready.  All records follow the Dewey decimal classification, utilize LC/LC children subject heading, and  adhere to the most current AACR2 cataloging rules.

Objectives:

• Cataloged records are converted to electronic format.
•  Provide quality and uniformity of electronic records.
•  Enable ease of accessibility for all Carrollton Farmers Branch school district patrons.
•  Outline standards and rules for processing and cataloging.
•  Process materials based on standards established: i.e. installation of spine labels, barcode, library identity and Mylar covers.
