Gary Keller

Ranchview High School
Mr. Keller is the Director of Orchestras at Ranchview High School in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD in North Dallas. After receiving his Bachelor of Music Education from Oklahoma City University in 1999, he started his career at Westwood Junior High in Richardson, Texas. In 2002, Mr. Keller accepted the position he currently holds at the newly built Ranchview High School. The orchestra program has grown over the past three years from 24 to over 60 string players. Under his direction, his orchestras have won multiple sweepstakes and festival awards. Mr. Keller is a frequent guest clinician, adjudicator of concert, sight-reading and solo/ensemble contests as well as All-State Tape and Chair Auditions. In the summer, Mr. Keller is an active camper, teaching at the University of Texas at Arlington Summer Strings Camp, Sam Houston State University Summer Strings Camp and the Oklahoma City University Double Bass Camp. Mr. Keller was recognized as one of the 50 directors from the United States who “Make a Difference” in the December 2005 issue of School Band and Orchestra Magazine. When Mr. Keller isn’t teaching, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife Elizabeth.
