Attendance Procedures

• Students may enter the building at 7:30 a.m. by either the front cafeteria door or the gym (bus riders only, please.)
• Tardy Policy - The tardy bell rings at 7:50.  Students arriving after 7:50 must come to the office for a tardy slip.  Remember, 3 tardies equal one absence. 
• Absence Reporting - If your child is absent please call the school office at 972-968-1700  before 10:00 a.m.  You must also send a note within 5 days of your child returning to school stating your child's name, date(s) of absence and reason for the absence.  It is critical that we receive the note!  Thanks!
• Students Leaving Before Dismissal - Due to instructional issues, no child will be allowed to leave after 2:30 p.m.  If you must pick your child up early for an appointment, you will need to come to the office and sign your child out.  Please allow at least five minutes before you need to leave in order to allow time for us to send for your child.  To minimize loss of instructional time we will not send for your child until you arrive at school.
• After School Dismissal - Dismissal time is 3:10 p.m.   Please make your child's teacher aware of how your child gets home. All changes in the regular routine MUST be done in writing.  If an emergency should prevent you from picking up your child by 3:25, you must come in to the office and sign your child out.
