Middle Schools Report

On Friday, the Polk MS Symphonic Orchestra performed at the Murchison Performing Arts Center at UNT against ensembles from across the country, and did a great job!  They came home with Superior Ratings from all 3 judges, plus they received another trophy for being the Outstanding CCC Middle School Ensemble.  As an ADDED achievement, they also received the Outstanding Orchestra of the Festival trophy!!  Please congratulate the members of Symphonic Orchestra for a job well done.  They represented our department and our school in a really positive way!!

The Field Orchestra competed at Metro-fest in Denton. All three judges were very impressed with their performance. We received STRAIGHT ONES from EVERY JUDGE! Please congratulate these students when you see them!

The High Schools Report

Ranchview HS Orchestra reports that Hamilton Pyburn, bassist, received a medal from UIL State Solo and Ensemble as an 'Outstanding Performer'.  The letter with the medal states that out of 22,000 state level entries, only 256 were given out.  Congratulations to Hamilton for that fine achievement.
