Summer/09

Congratulations to Neeraj Bhatia, NSHS Debate team president, for his outstanding performance at the NFL National Speech and Debate Tournament.  The tournament was held in Birmingham, Alabama, from June 14-19, 2009.  Competing in four events (Student Congress, Expository Speaking, Extemporaneous Commentary, and Impromptu) at nationals, Neeraj made it to the semifinals of Impromptu and placed in the top 18 in the nation.  This is an incredible accomplishment considering there were over 500 entries in impromptu speaking.  He is off to 'Aggieland' and will be attending A&M later this fall.  We are proud of the efforts that our students make in this district to keep CFB a leader in fine arts and arts education!   Chris Agee, NSHS Debate
