Brookhaven College School of Arts Exhibit
DALLAS-Explore the Brookhaven College School of the Arts through the work of its professors and staff members. New exhibits open Oct. 5-28 for the Art Department faculty members in the Forum Gallery and René West in the Studio Gallery. Receptions for both exhibitions are Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m., and faculty members will present gallery talks Oct. 21 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Forum Gallery.

I would like to announce outstanding achievement in the Creekview Art Department. In our AP program Bob Thomas in 2D Design and Drawing…. And Stacy Hunt in Art History scored high state ranking with their students who took the College Board Exams.
Our own, Cindy Sommerman is NUMBER ONE IN THE STATE in 3D Design!
Cindy’s AP 3D Design program had the most students in the state to take (22 exams) and pass (20 exams) on the College Board Studio Art 3D Design portfolio. Creekview is ranked #1 in the state of Texas for College Board AP 3D Design exams with 22 students to take and 20 students to pass.

11/18/09Congratulations to the Newman Smith AP Music Theory program and teacher Clorese Porter for being ranked No. 17th in tests taken and 12th for the number of tests passed by O'Donnell Foundation of Texas.
Also, congratulations to AP Drawing!
The course taught by Kay Cavin earned a 10th place ranking in test taken and an 8th place ranking for AP test passed.
The O'Donnell Foundation Grant Schools in Texas supports an Advanced Placement Incentive Program for Art and Music.
