POLK MS 10/29/09 Last night, members of our Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band competed individually with other schools in our district at the CFB All-District Band Auditions. Members selected to this honor group represent some of the finest young musicians in our area. All of the students who competed have been working diligently preparing scales, music, and sight-reading and have improved dramatically so far this year. Congratulations to everyone involved! The following 28 students were selected as members of the All-District Band and mark an all-time high in Ted Polk Middle School history. Please take a moment and congratulate them when you see them. Congratulations to JaRod Hall, senior Lion Band member-this weekend he was selected as first chair Bass Trombone in the Texas Music Educator’s Region 24 All-Region Jazz Ensemble 1.  This is JaRod’s third selection to the All-Region Jazz Ensembles, and qualifies him to audition at the Area level for a chance to become a member of the Texas All-State Jazz Ensemble.  Please congratulate JaRod on yet another outstanding accomplishment!
