Introducing the Fine Arts Staff:


 
  Fran Bolte

Fran Bolte is assisting the Fine Arts Director in the areas of Elementary and Secondary Art, Theatre, Dance and Drill Team.  Fran's 37 years teaching and leadership experience in art began in 1971 as a Graduate Assistant at Purdue University, and has continued as a secondary art teacher to this day in public school systems in Indiana, Georgia, and Texas.

She was the Lead Art teacher at Newman Smith from 1990-2001, and AP Vertical Team Leader from 1997-2001.  Fran has also scheduled art courses, workshops and presentations, mentoring new teachers and student teachers, and directed school art budgets. In the spring of 2001, she was named a VIP for Newman Smith H.S.

Fran was director for VASE, (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) from 1993-1996.  Her other activities include: curriculum revision Teams, fine arts textbook evaluation, staff development, arts curriculum alignment with TEKS, TAEA Supervision/Administration Chair through 2009 and for the last six years, involved in the Metroplex  Art Supervisor’s group.

Hobbies and interests include reading, painting, drawing. She travels with her husband of 38 years, Marty, by car, and helps to promote Marty’s,  sculpting avocation.  She lists her greatest accomplishments as being a proud mother and grandmother.

Jeanne Hyden is the Fine Arts Secretary.   Duties include tracking budgets for the Fine Arts Office, and the campus supply budgets for areas of art, band, orchestra, choir, elementary art, and elementary music.  She also works with the district Purchasing Dept. during the requisition of capital outlay equipment and aids Jim McDaniel in various scheduling duties for the Fine Arts Dept. and other involvements.  Jeanne has worked for the district since the beginning of the 1996-97 school year.  She loves working with the teachers and helping them solve their budgetary problems. 

Jeanne and  her husband have been married 38 years. They make their home in Carrollton and have 2 cats and 2 dogs.  Their oldest daughter, works as a Licensed School Psychologist,  their youngest daughter works with preschool children.  Jeanne enjoys gardening, yoga, drawing and painting in her spare time. Jeanne and Bruce love to visit  coastal waters and see beautiful beaches and fish when they go snorkeling.  She has a BFA in Fine Arts, and loves being a grandma.  Jeanne is the Web master for the Fine Arts Dept.



Pam Iapalucci

Pam Iapalucci is the Fine Arts Clerk.  She joins the staff this year after working with ESL students for the past five years at Furneaux Elementary.  She looks forward to continuing the duties of Wallie, such as keeping up with inventories, preparing spread sheets, preparing for UIL competitions, and helping Jeanne with miscellaneous tasks.

Pam, and husband Mike, have lived in Carrollton for all of their 30 years together. They have 3 kids, 1 grandson and Kitty. All of their children graduated CFB, Nick, theatre major, along with his wife and son, live in Santa Fe where he is Technical Director at The National Dance Institute. Tony is a psychology major and will be earning his master degree in Pennsylvania.  Daughter Mary, will be entering University of Tulsa this year, eventually earning a degree in Speech Pathology, with a minor in deaf education. Now, empty nesters, Mike and Pam plan to spend any available time at Lake Fork in East Texas, where they just bought a lake house.
