Melody - Students will learn to read, write, sing and play High Do La So Mi Re Do.
Rhythm - 3rd graders will be able to read, write, sing and play whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes and sixteenth notes in different rhythmic combinations.
Harmony - We will sing and play in 2 part canon (round) during the 3rd grade as well as singing partner songs ( 2 different songs simultaneously). We will accompany ourselves on Orff instruments using hands together bourdun, alternating bourdun and will learn crossover bordun this year. We will also accompany ourselves with vocal and instrumental ostinato (repeating patterns).
