A Little About Mrs. Evans

Hi and thank you for visiting my webpage! This is my first year at McKamy and I am so excited to be here. I have taught 5th grade for a few years now and it is my favorite grade. I have been able to work with all grades ranging from Kindergarten to 9th grade. Fifth grade is the best!

My husband and I live in Dallas with our three dogs, Jack, Deuce and Cleo. Deuce is the youngest Border Collie and has the most energy. Jack is the oldest Border Collie and the smartest. Cleo is our only girl dog. We found her when she was only three weeks old. She is the sweetest dog.

I was born in Pennsylvania but moved to Texas with my family when I was six years old. My mother is from Thailand and I was raised speaking English and Thai. I began studying Spanish when I was twelve and continued through my second year in college at Texas Tech University. I love learning languages and also studied Italian when I was 26 so I could have great conversations while we visited Italy. The next language on my list is Japanese. 

Some of my favorite hobbies are traveling, cooking, playing tennis and spending time with friends and family.
