Drop-Off and Pick-Up
|
Drop-Off Procedures Please do not let any children out of your vehicle, unless your vehicle is situated next to the curb. Please pull up to the white line, so the maximum number of children can be dropped off at one time. On bad weather days, please be patient and come early. If you wish to wait with your child until the doors are opened at 7:35, please park your vehicle in a marked, designated parking area, not next to the curb or in the bus lane and walk your child to the covered entrance area. Please do not park in the spaces directly across from the front entrance that are designated for principals, secretaries, nurse or other office staff. These spaces are for these school personnel only. |
Pick-Up Procedures Please pull up to the white line which is located past the front entrance to Davis. This will allow the teachers to safely put as many children into vehicles as is possible at one time. Please stay in a single line. We will not allow children to cross between vehicles to get to your vehicle. Please do not get out of your vehicle at any time. This will cause the line to back up. The teachers will send your children to your vehicle as soon as you are safely stopped. If you choose to walk your child to your vehicle, you must park your vehicle in a marked, designated parking area. Please do not block the bus lane at any time. Do not drive up and pull ahead of other vehicles that are waiting in line. There is only one lane for pick-up. If you pull up in a second lane, you will be directed to go around and come in again in the single lane. The second lane at the Paxton entrance is only for those picking up Kindergarten students under the tree at the corner. Please use good driver's etiquette and take turns allowing people from both sides of Paxton or Dorchester to pull into the school driveways. Everyone is in a hurry to pick up their children and get back home, but working together will actually get you home sooner. On bad weather days, please be patient and come early. |
