We have seven students that were selected as outstanding soloists at the Choice Music Events Gulf Coast Showcase of Music competition in April.  We are very proud of their individual accomplishments and their contributions to our program:

In addition, we had eleven students that were selected as Texas Music Scholars for 2008-2009 by the Texas Music Educators Association.  Last year, fewer than 1,500 music students in the state were named as Texas Music Scholars.  This award is given to students who have exhibited outstanding qualities in scholastic merit, musicianship, and citizenship in their school and community.
