Projectile Motion

In Unit 3 on Projectiles, students apply their knowledge of kinematics and forces to analyze the motion of projectiles moving in two dimensions.

Critical Questions:

  • What is meant by the “independence of horizontal and vertical motion?”
  • What type of motion does a projectile experience in the horizontal direction? Why?
  • What type of motion does a projectile experience in the vertical direction? Why?
