Physics - Unit XII Overview

Quantum Physics

In unit 12 on Modern Physics, students will investigate simple quantum physics concepts. Students will be able to describe the photoelectric effect and explain line spectra of various gases.

Critical Questions:

  • What are some practical applications of the photoelectric effect?
  • What is meant by the dual nature of light?
  • Why do gases exhibit spectral lines?

Suggested Time Frame: 1 Weeks
