Periodic Table

Within the Periodic Table Unit, IPC students are expected to interpret the information found on the periodic table. Students are expected to relate the chemical behavior of an element including bonding to its placement on the periodic table. Students are also expected to write and name chemical formulas.

Critical Questions:
  • What is the significance of the arrangement of the periodic table?
  • What relationships exist between properties of matter and its components?

Suggested Time Frame: 3 Weeks
