Chemical Reactions
| In the
eighth unit, Chemical Reactions, the student will
demonstrate that some substances will react chemically
to form new substances.
Students will answer questions about the parts of
equations and chemical formulas and then will express
the importance of these parts. The students will also
state as to whether the chemical reaction formula is
balanced.
Critical Questions:
- What is the difference between chemical properties
and chemical reactions?
- How is a chemical equation different from a
chemical formula?
- What information can you determine from a chemical
equation?
- How do you know if a chemical equation is
balanced?
