Grade 8 Science - Unit XII Overview

Pre-IPC

In the final unit, Pre-IPC, students will review concepts previously taught in greater depth and in preparation for entering IPC or Biology next year.

Critical Questions:
  • What are the structures and properties of matter?
  • What types of waves exist?
  • How are the characteristics of waves affected by different media?
  • How does sound travel through matter in waves?
  • How do series and parallel circuits compare?

Suggested Time Frame: 3 Weeks
