Grade 8 Science - Unit X Overview

Force and Motion

In the tenth unit, Force & Motion, students will demonstrate Newton's 2nd and 3rd Laws of Motion.

Students will identify the relationship between force and motion while identifying properties of waves and how waves travel through space and other media.

Critical Questions:

  • How do forces affect masses and acceleration?
  • How are motions related to forces?
  • What is the relationship among waves, energy and matter?

Suggested Time Frame: 3.5 Weeks
