Forces: Machines
and Magnets
The
Forces: Machines and Magnets unit will guide students in
observing and explaining how objects interact when they
act on each other, guide the students to observe that a
force is needed to change the motion of any object and
explore magnetism as a force of attraction (pull) or
repulsion (push) in certain materials.
Critical Questions:
- What types of force are used to move an object?
- How are magnets used to create a force?
