English IV Language Arts - Unit V Overview
This unit introduces and acquaints the student with the Romantic
movement of the 19th century. Students become familiar with
various Romantic poets and Gothic novelists and their works,
reflecting how the ideals of this time are conveyed in the
literature. A research paper analyzing literary criticisms of
the literature defends or argues against those criticisms. The
paper demonstrates student knowledge of the research and writing
process as well as the grammatical concepts in a well-written,
error-free research paper.
