The C-FB ISD Summer Academy for Gifted Education (SAGE) provides C-FB gifted students with an exciting and challenging experience utilizing a specially designed interdisciplinary curriculum. Through the richness of the curriculum and the highly experienced staff, students will receive academic rigor, integrated with problem solving.

Students must be identified as Academic Creative Education (ACE) or Leading Exceptional Academic Producers (LEAP) and are kinder through seventh grade students for the 2007 - 2008 school year.

All staff members have their gifted and talented training and are experienced gifted and talented teachers. The teaching staff employs strategies that have proven to be particularly effective in motivating academically gifted students. Instructors use hands-on methods of learning that promote active participation, creativity, and higher order thinking skills.

Transportation will be provided between Kent and students’ elementary schools.
