We have reacted our 36 team limit, however, we can never predict the future and are not certain that one or some of the teams currently confirmed won't need to drop out due to various reasons.  Therefore, if you're interested in placing your team on the waiting list, please complete the ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM and your team will be added to the waiting list.  Once again, this is a first come first serve basis.

 

This is your opportunity to be involved in the “Best Softball Tournament in  Texas.”  R. L. Turner and Newman Smith High Schools, in conjunction with the City of Farmers Branch, invite your high school Varsity softball team to participate in what is billed the “BEST SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT IN TEXAS!”   

Renee Putter & J.C. Hamlin will serve as Tournament Directors for the Tournament of Champions.   We are so excited for the opportunity to work with so many talented coaches and ball players.  In years ’99 – ’01 & '03 - '08 we hosted many teams from all over the state and had the pleasure of watching excellent softball talent.

Again this year our sponsors are planning for participation from teams all over the state.  Each team will have lots of pool games that lead them into bracket play.  Pool play will seed your team for bracket play.  Pool play begins at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and carries into Friday afternoon starting at 12:00 p.m. Bracket play begins Saturday morning.

The sponsors want to provide a unique, first-rate experience for you and your team this year and in years to come.  We will do everything to make this the most enjoyable experience for the coaches, players, and their families.  All numbers for our director, Renee Putter are included.  If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact her at anytime.  She will also be available to answer questions throughout the tournament.

Tournament ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM must be completed ASAP to guarantee a spot and entry fee must be received by January 2, 2009.

Type:

Pool games plus bracket play. 

Entry Fee:

$225 (check, cashiers check, money order payable to R. L. Turner Softball (if in Region 3 AD agreement, please pay maximum varsity fee))

 

Awards:

Team trophies will be given in all divisions.

Individual trophies will be awarded to 12 All Tournament players and Home Run trophies for most home runs.

Entry Deadline:

December 1, 2008

Balls:

Will be provided.

Space is limited to 36 VARSITY teams.  Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis!
