Athletic Facility Usage
District Athletic facilities were constructed primarily for use by CFBISD athletic teams and other CFBISD extracurricular teams and individuals. Special arrangements must be made for uses of a different nature.
Priorities by Group Activity
1. School activities involving students of CFBISD.
2. U.I.L. activities involving CFBISD students directed by CFBISD coaches which supplement a school athletic program, for example: summer sports camps.
3. Approved city recreational activities involving students of schools not belonging to the U.I.L.
4. Non-profit non-school groups whose membership consists exclusively of CFBISD residents.
5. For-profit entities (company, corporation, etc) which are located in CFBISD.
Gyms -
1. Outdoor sports are not allowed in the gymnasiums.
2. Lease of elementary gyms will be handled through the District's Building Rental Office.
3. Lease of middle school and high school gyms will be handled through the District's Athletic Director.
4. Only regular basketball rubber-soled shoes may be worn on the gymnasium floors.
5. The rental does not include the use of dressing rooms, mats, or other equipment in the gymnasium area. If dressing rooms are needed, special arrangements must be made through the District's Athletic Office.
Fields, Tennis Courts and Tracks
The outdoor facilities at each elementary campus shall be available to the children of the respective communities during non-school hours, free of charge on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, no organization may claim exclusive use of school grounds. Except for approved organized programs of the City Recreational Department.
Middle School and High School fields are not available for community groups for practice or games, only the school district teams are allowed on these facilities.
Some District tennis courts and running tracks are available to all individuals when not needed by the District. In order to use the tennis courts, which are kept locked, you must contact the school district security dept. @ 972-968-6498 for a combination code. However, the use shall be for their intent. Roller blades, skates, motor bikes, bicycles, or other sports and activities are not allowed.
