May 2008: Orchestra Solo & Ensemble Contest
On Saturday May 10,
over 100 Bush Orchestra students participated in the CFBISD Middle
School Solo & Ensemble Contest at Long MS, and for the 3rd
year in a row, Bush walked away with the MOST medals for
superior ratings. This event is really special because students
do all the learning, teaching, & rehearsing on their own. The
best rating is 1 for superior performance; some students
received a special rating of 1-honor for a truly outstanding
performance. A rating of 2 is excellent--we had only 7
2s--and a 3 is good--we didn’t
have any 3s.

October 2007: 7g Football Team Takes District Championship!
Football season is over and the 7th grade football team was
undefeated, not giving up a single touchdown. They earned
the right to be called district champs for the first time in
six years and they are very proud of this accomplishment. We
congratulate them on a great season and look forward to
hanging the banner in the gym to remind us of this great
season.
October 2007: 14 BBMS Orchestra
Students in All-Region Orchestra
BBMS Orchestra students did an awesome job at the TMEA Region 24 All-Region
Orchestra auditions on Saturday October 13. 28
students in 7th and 8th grade auditioned
for a spot in the prestigious groups that represent students
in C-FBISD, Lewisville ISD, Frisco ISD, and
Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. The competition was pretty
fierce, with about 700 middle school kids from successful 5A programs
competing for 184 spots. Setting a new school record, 14
BBMS students were chosen to be members of this year’s
All-Region Orchestras. They worked hard, including
coming to practices before & after school & on the
weekends. We congratulate these high achievers.
