Letter from Mrs. Bush at Opening of BBMS

August 10, 1998
Dear Students of Barbara Bush Middle School,
Welcome. I'm delighted you are here -- ready
to study hard and have fun -- and I'd like to take this special
opportunity to offer you all some friendly advice.
As you grow up in this wonderful country we live in,
it is crucial to study hard and become responsible and caring
citizens. When you grow up, you will find that you have
special talents and abilities which, if you choose, can help make a
difference for the better at home, at school, in your place of
worship, or in your community. Becoming involved in these
areas is an important first step toward building a better America.
By using your God-given talents, you will not only
help others but also enjoy a happy and productive life. Hard
work, determination, and the desire to do your best -- at all times
-- will help lead you to success.
George joins me in sending our best wishes for a
fun-filled, successful school year.
Warmly,
Barbara Bush
Good luck! |
