- Choir Student selected for All-Region Choir
- We have another star in the making. Our very own BBMS Choir student
Chelsea Roberson made the TMEA Region 24 8th
Grade Women’s All-Region Choir. Chelsea competed with 93 other young ladies for
a spot in this choir and placed 18th chair. Chelsea worked
extremely hard and it has paid off. We are very proud of her. She will be participating in a
Clinic/Concert all day Sat Nov 14 at Lewisville HS. For those interested
in attending, there will be a performance at Lewisville HS at 6:00pm. The concert is FREE of charge.

- BBMS Memory Garden Celebration!
- Thursday, May 29, 2009, BBMS celebrated the opening of a special area outside the school's cafeteria.
Groups of students, teachers, parents, & school
administration met to dedicate a "Memory Garden" as a place
to remember special people who spent time
at Barbara Bush Middle School. Engraved bricks were laid into the patio area in honor of those who were an
integral part of our school but are no longer with us. The
choir, band & orchestra performed, and Mr. Warren Scott &
Sunny Shankar remembered several special people with moving speeches. Cindy Santascoy
& Angie Drake, our PTA president & vice-president,
officially accepted the renovations as the "Friends of Barbara Bush
Memory Garden." Dr. Barry Dodson, the first principal at BBMS, &
Neal Schirato, father of former coach Chad Schirato, performed the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Memory Garden is now officially open for enjoyment!
