My name is Lauren Burris and I will be your 7^th grade Texas History Teacher.  I am very excited for the upcoming 2009-2010 school year!

I am a product of Carrollton-Farmers Branch schools and am happy to be teaching here.  I went to McLaughlin Elementary, Dan F. Long Middle School, and Creekview High School.  I graduated from Midwestern State University and this is my 3^rd year at Ted Polk Middle School.

I recently got married on August 1, 2009; my last name used to be Supulski.  My husband’s name is Cody and he works for Terminix.

I have two cats, Alex and Jorge, and two dogs, Rojo and Zoe.  In my spare time I like to play soccer with my women’s team, go to the movies, attend concerts, watch football, and spend time with family.  My favorite team is the Cowboys, especially Tony Romo and Marion Barber!

I hope to have a great year with all of you.  I want each of my students to leave with a great appreciation for the history of Texas and, of course, a great 7^th grade year!
