I was born in Laurel, Mississippi, but I traveled around the
world as an elementary student. My family consists of my husband, Tim, a son, Andrew, a
daughter, Claire and two Yorkies named Precious and Nicki. Chocolate is my
favorite food and my favorite author is Jane Austin. I love blue and white
china. In my spare time I like to travel, watercolor and read. My favorite
school memory was taking supplies to an orphanage in Mexico with my Sociology
class as a senior. My hero is Helen Keller. To strive to be reverent,
create harmony, and revere the earth is my personal motto.. The most important
lesson I have learned is we can do no great things, only small things with great
love. After twenty-eight years of teaching, I love to have my former students keep in touch. The one thing that
I would like my
students to take with them is the knowledge that they can make a difference for good in the world.
