IMPORTANT!!! Turning power off on data projector: Press the standby/on button and “Power
off?” will appear. Press button
again and wait until orange power indicator turns solid. Turn main power switch off. If main power is turned off while fan is
cooling, it could cause damage to the lamp.

Troubleshooting Tips:
Data Projector
·
Problem: Projector display cuts in and out. Suggestion:
Power cable from projector may be loose.
Make sure cable is plugged in securely.
· Problem: Image is frozen on screen. Suggestion: Press the freeze button on data projector remote.
Audio
·
Problem: No audio.
When on/volume switch on speakers is turned on, there is no green
light. Suggestion:
Power supply for speakers has become unplugged. In lower cabinet, look for a square AC
adaptor and plug back into a power strip.
PC
·
Problem: Projector is in RGB 1 mode but there is no
video from the computer. Suggestion:
Move the mouse around to “wake up” PC video. The computer may have gone into hibernate
mode.
· Problem: When playing a DVD or showing a video, the PC projects on screen but there is no audio. Suggestion: Make sure audio selector switch is in PC #1 mode. Check if speaker on/volume switch is on and the volume control is turned up.
· Problem: No audio when playing a downloaded video or a DVD. Suggestion: Check cable connection between PC audio out (green mini jack on the back of computer) to RCA Red and White input #1 on audio selector switch.
· Problem: No audio when playing a downloaded video or a DVD. Suggestion: Right click on speaker icon on right hand corner of taskbar.
Select open volume control and make sure Mute is not checked. Adjust volume control and Wave control.
Document Camera
·
Problem: Projector is in RGB 2 mode but there is no
video from document camera. Message from data projector displays “RGB 2
input not detected”. Suggestion:
Push the source button on the document camera.

Problem: Projector is in RGB 2 mode but there is no
video from document camera. Source button did not solve it. Suggestion: Check connectivity of VGA
cable on document camera. Cable should be connected to VGA Out.
· Problem: Document camera image is in Black & White or looks like a negative. Suggestion: Using the effects button on document camera, select color mode.
· Problem: The document or object still shows on screen after I have removed it. Suggestion: Try to unfreeze image by pushing the Freeze button on document camera. If image is still frozen, press the freeze button on data projector remote.
· Problem: Camera picture constantly changes from white to gray to black and back. Suggestion: Try adjusting flicker, white balance and contrast. Press menu key. Using down arrow, highlight exposure. Use right arrow to go to submenu. Use down arrow to highlight flicker and down arrow to select 60 HZ. Use right arrow to set. Use menu button to get back to main menu. Place a blank piece of white paper under document camera. Use up arrow to highlight white balance. Use right arrow to select and up arrow to highlight Auto. Use right arrow to set. Use menu key to get to main menu. Highlight contrast. Use right arrow to select and right arrow again to increase contrast. Hit menu key twice to get out of menu.
VCR
· Problem: No video from VCR. Suggestion: Check if data projector is in video input mode.
·
Problem: No VCR audio. Suggestion:
Make sure audio selector switch
is in VCR #2 mode.
·
Problem: No VCR audio. Audio selector switch is in #2 mode. Suggestion: Check
RCA cable connection between VCR audio line out (Red and White jacks) and the
#2 input of audio selector switch.
Windows Media Player does not show video
Right click on
desktop and select properties.

The Display properties window opens.

Click on settings
tab.

Click the Advanced
button.


Select troubleshoot tab.

Slide the acceleration bar to full.
Click ok.
