LIVING MATERIALS FOR CLASSROOM USE

All materials are available upon request. Telephone orders may be placed any time of day to the Science Resource Center 972-243-7085. If the manager cannot answer the phone, please leave a message on the answering machine and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

A webpage order form for living materials is available for copying or printout. Written orders may be sent by Inter-School Mail to the Science Resource Center or as attachments via email to the manager of the Center. The Elementary Science FOSS Program has special order forms for living materials which are linked both below and off the KITS section of the Materials for Check-Out page.

When ordering materials, please indicate the name and amount of items (per class) you want and include your name and school so correct deliveries can be made.

TIME LINE FOR ORDERING: All requests for materials should be made two weeks, preferably three weeks, in advance of desired use date to insure timely delivery. There may be certain times when demand exceeds supply or a particular request item may not be stocked in the Center. In such cases, materials can be ordered but expect at least three or four weeks for delivery.

DELIVERY AND PICKUP OF MATERIALS: Confirmation of all living material orders will be made before delivery to insure no surprises. When use of the materials is complete, arrangements can be made to pick up items. Living organisms should be recycled to save money. In order to save district funds, please clean and return all shipping containers through Inter-School Mail to: CFB-ISD Science Resource Center. The Center does not furnish cages or aquariums. In some instances, donated cages have been available for checkout to schools.
