Hi! My name is Mrs. Joy Henderson. I was born in Colombia, South America and lived there until I was fifteen years of age. At this time my family moved to the United States. I completed high school in the U.S. I am married and have 3 wonderful children. My daughter is 18 years old and I have two sons that are 14 years old and 3 years old. I love to spend time with my family and I also love to read in my spare time. I received by bachelors

degree from the University of Texas @ Arlington with a major in history and a minor in social studies. Before coming to the Carrollton~Farmers Branch district to teach, I taught at the high school in Ennis, Texas. This will be my fourth year to teach at Ranchview High School. I am also thrilled to be a part of the new 9th grade initiative program that we have had in place three years now.
