Discipline

  Art Home
I try to focus on positive behavior.  I reward classes that:

Follow Directions

Have a Good Attitude

Use Their Time Wisely

Control Personal Actions & Voice Volume

At the end of the 9 weeks the class may choose from:

Free Draw Using "How to Draw" books
Game Day Art Stations
Outside Art Class
Movie Day
Snack Day

Each student is allowed THREE opportunities to fix any behavior problems themselves. At the onset of the third incident an office referral or detention will be issued.  Please read the "CFBISD STUDENT HANDBOOK" for further information on discipline policies. Here is the posted class plan:
1st offense:               REMINDER
2nd offense:             Homeroom Teacher Notified/Signature
3rd offense:              Office Referral/Detention

During a 2nd offense it is up to the homeroom teacher to determine signature consequences.  Some teachers take recess time while others make students walk laps.  Please review individual class policies!

Office referrals are handled by our principal or assistant principal.

Detentions are to be served with Ms. Davis.  Students should go to the Art Room on the designated date and time. Parent signatures are required before a student is allowed to serve a detention.  If a student does not appear at the designated detention date and time they will be referred to the office.  If a student does not return the signed detention form they will be referred to the office.
